JMPD’s Night-Life Compliance Operation inspected more than 121 entertainment establishments this week as part of ongoing efforts to enforce by-laws, public safety regulations, and liquor compliance.
The operation resulted in the impoundment of multiple sound systems, the closure of non-compliant establishments, the issuance of compliance notices for health, hygiene, and safety violations, and the arrest of an owner who unlawfully reopened a closed premises.
Several establishments were found operating without the required approvals, while others were commended for full compliance with safety, health, and licensing requirements.
