A man who allegedly scammed a woman out of R15,000 while selling her a vehicle has been exposed

The buyer had secured vehicle financing through a bank and was under the impression that all costs related to the purchase would be handled through formal dealership procedures. However, after making the payment to the sales representative, issues arose when they sought clarification regarding the transaction.

Upon approaching the Dealer Principal for assistance, the customer was informed that the matter was considered a personal dispute rather than an official dealership issue. This response left the buyer frustrated, as they felt the situation involved a member of the dealership’s sales team and should have been addressed internally. The lack of support from management has led the customer to seek alternative avenues to raise awareness and warn potential buyers about their experience.

Feeling unheard, the customer has taken to public platforms, hoping to reach individuals who may be able to intervene and prevent similar incidents from happening to others. They also aim to inform future buyers about the risks involved in vehicle purchases, particularly when dealing with additional payments outside standard financing agreements.

This incident serves as a reminder to first-time car buyers to remain cautious and fully understand the financial aspects of purchasing a vehicle. It is advisable to ensure that all payments are made through official dealership channels, with proper documentation provided for every transaction. Buyers should also verify the legitimacy of any additional costs before making payments to sales representatives.

While BB Nissan Polokwane has yet to provide an official response regarding these claims, the affected individual has extended their warning to those considering purchases from other branches, including BB Nissan Gezina, BB Nissan Hatfield, BB Nissan Silverton, and BB Nissan Sinoville. By sharing their experience, they hope to encourage transparency and accountability within the dealership network.
