Suspected Robber Beaten To Death: Trenance Park - KZN
The body of a man who was beaten to death was located in a bush in Trenance Park - KZN today (Tuesday).
A passerby contacted the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Operations Centre at approximately 10:46 after making the discovery. Reaction Officers & RUSA Paramedics were immediately dispatched to Tangerine Street and on arrival walked approximately 500 metres down a footpath where the man’s body was pointed out.
His hands were bound (picture 1) and he sustained whip marks to his body. A blue Adidas jacket was fastened to a tree (picture 2). It is believed that the jacket was tied around his neck while he was propped up against a tree and beaten.
A couple known to the deceased informed Reaction Officers that he was accused of multiple robberies in Zwelisha - KZN. He informed them that the community were searching for him and he needed to relocate urgently. This information could not be confirmed by RUSA Members.
